In Some Countries, Such as Greece, Almost 80% of Windows Users Are on Vista 10 and About 85% Need to Move to GNU/Linux for Security Patches
Patches for Vista 11 won't make it secure; the real solution is abandoning the NSA's Swiss cheese
SOMETIMES we try to study the trends of Windows usage and then we see what goes on in Greece or in China, where the number of Vista 7 users still is greater than the number of Vista 11 users, according to statCounter.
This is Greece:
According to this chart, Vista 11 has in Greece only double the number of GNU/Linux users.
Microsoft does not want people to see these numbers. Vista 11 was released almost 3.5 years ago (a fake 'leak') and still it is not used by many people, except by people who buy a new PC and are forced to use it (the OEMs signed some back room deal with Microsoft). As Intel circles down the drain expect slowdown in adoption of Vista 11. As Microsoft sharpens its TPM pencil (with Draconian restrictions that nobody asked for) expect more of that same slowdown.
Vista 11 was a failure. █
