[Meme] The Microsoft Syndrome
A couple of days ago we wrote: "as each year passes it seems we're being conditioned to the expectation of failure in space missions (even basic things like moon landers) and tossing some vessel into the Sun (to burn, not return or transmit back physical material) is considered a major scientific achievement."
Now that planes are built more cheaply and the corporate media repeats lies from official statements (of corporations) and social control media quips (instead of citing technical reports, waiting for blackboxes etc.) we can expect that blame-shifting will be easier. They tell us what people say, not what actually happened. Later on people stop caring and assume the excuses had merit.
Jeju Air and Boeing will have a lot of explaining to do. What happens there helps distract from a vastly bigger (political) crisis in South Korea. Impeachments aside, expect arrests of national leaders.
Microsoft has similar spin floating every time there's a major Bill Gates or Microsoft scandal - one that can lead to actual arrests. █
