After a Year of Layoffs in Microsoft Nigeria (and Microsoft in Africa at Large) Windows Falls to New Lows and Bing Falls to 0.46% "Market Share"
New low for Windows on desktops/laptops and it's now measured at less than iOS (it was 5% last month) because desktops/laptops aren't used much anymore and not many buy new PCs with Vista 11 on them. Bing has meanwhile fallen to just 0.46%:
IN SOME countries, Microsoft's search [sic] engine is already measured at 0%, as rounding up 0.46% (to a whole number) would mean zero (0), not one.
The hype has not worked and last year we gave a list of countries where Bing is around 0%. Nigeria is among those.
Expect more layoffs.
Of course Microsoft gave bribes in Nigeria to suppress GNU/Linux adoption, but it never gets punished for crimes. That's not just a "Nigeria issue" but a severe and international phenomenon ("Microsoft Crime: A Week Later No Investigation Launched, No Microsoft Executives Prosecuted, Nobody Phoned the Police, Not Even a Slap on the Wrist"). █
