[Meme] Fentanylware (TikTok) Banned in the United States, Next Up European Union (EU)
And the United Kingdom (UK)
Now that Fentanylware (TikTok, psychological warfare) is finally banned in the United States (effective Sunday, SCOTUS won't stop that and Donald Trump isn't president) we should be talking about the EU, which has been weighing the possibility for quite some time, more so after the incident in Romania, a considerably important (politically, due to USSR) and large chunk of the EU.
What about the UK? Will British politicians still outsource their communications [sic] to a Chinese censor deemed a national security threat by the United States of America, a close UK ally?
To be clear, this has nothing to do with free speech. This article repeats the lies. "There were no noted dissents," it says, alluding to SCOTUS. "The article still confuses CCP mandated censorship with freedom of speech," an associate explains. "And it further confuses foreign corporations with natural citizens," which is a non-starter. The very concept of free speech is being twisted right now by people who push disinformation. They wish to do so unimpeded.
Quoting the report: "The Department of Justice had argued the restriction is not on speech but on a foreign adversary's ability to control a widely used means of communication. Unless TikTok is sold, the government said, China can gather data on Americans or manipulate the content on TikTok to shape U.S. opinion."
The EU learned this the hard way. █
