Slopwatch: Anti-Linux Garbage and Fake 'Articles' About GNU and Linux, Courtesy of Serial Sloppers and Slopfarms

In the news this week: Glossy, Gunky And Ready In Minutes: AI Meal Recipes Are Overrunning The Internet

Previous coverage: Planet Ubuntu Overrun by LLM Slop? Faizul "Piju" 9M2PJU Seems to be Publishing Fake Articles About "Linux"...

Today there is a frustrating amount of FUD online that wasn't published by humans but instead generated by LLMs, likely composed by Microsoft bots that love to say or "hallucinate" (lie) bad things about Linux. In short, fake 'articles'...

We'd like to begin with Faizul "Piju" 9M2PJU: (more above)

LLM slop: Wayland vs. Xorg: The Ongoing Display Server Battle

It is LLM slop again:

LLM slop: Xorg: The Veteran Warrior

He even did this twice on the same day. Here's another:

LLM slop: Conquer Your Linux Games: A Guide to Binding Gaming Mouse Keys with Input-Remapper

Only slop, with the word "Linux" thrown in:

LLM slop: Why Remap Your Mouse Keys?

But wait, it gets worse. There are many fake 'articles' about Linux that say it has a "back door" and GNU (GRUB) is also bad, apparently.

Here's a quick summary of LLM slop we found, maybe trained on half a dozen articles that seem real although Eduard Kovacs chose a slop image (for likely real text, stating there's "malware named Auto-Color, which allows full remote access to compromised devices, targets North America and Asia").

Here's LLM slop from Brittany Day, a Serial Slopper:

Auto-Color Strikes: Protecting Your Linux Systems from Sophisticated Malware

And here's some more that's 100% slop (fake text):

New Auto-Color Malware Attacking Linux Devices to Gain Full Remote Access

Anti-Linux LLM slop again:

Linux Grub Read Command Buffer Overflow Vulnerability Enabling Potential Secure Boot Bypass

GRUB2 Vulnerabilities Exposes Millions of Linux Systems to Cyber Attack

These two articles are fake and those two sites work in pairs [1, 2], yielding slop images with fake text that tarnishes the reputation of Linux and now GNU:

GRUB2 Flaws Expose Millions of Linux Devices to Exploitation

Speaking of something that tarnishes the reputation of Linux, watch who's active again, hijacking the brand:

A Party Girl’s Guide To Finding Love in the Club (According to Linux)

So now "Linux" is also some "trans thing". Riding or hijacking someone else's name. Remember "Linux Gold"?
