GNU/Linux Reaches 5% in Brazil, an All-Time High According to statCounter
According to statCounter, Brazil has been making good strides in recent months... if Software Freedom is the goal.
According to DistroWatch, Brazil also has many distros of its own. Some of them have a nice Web site that's lacking an English version; the target audience is Brazilian people, not the "international community"; this is perfectly fine, they just focus on local needs and market themselves accordingly. There are hundreds of millions of people in that country.
This one should make Microsoft blush:
Many people in Brazil are moving to mobile: (or belatedly get detected as such)
Microsoft is in trouble. █
