Despite many valid alternatives existing and fast maturing

"The January 2025 monthly report for The FreeBSD Foundation’s Laptop Support and Usability Project is now available on [Microsoft's proprietary prison] GitHub," said the FreeBSD Foundation in "January 2025 Laptop Support and Usability Project Update".

The FreeBSD Foundation should know better or, as an associate put it, "why does FreeBSD lack the skill or motivation to self-host Git, or at least to self-host at FOSS-friendly service instead?"

It's 2025. How hard can it be to install and configure Git? █
