IBM Laid Off Almost 2,000 Staff Last Friday and No Western Publication (Newspaper, Web Site) Even Mentioned That
Only some east Asian sites mentioned it [1, 2, 3]
Wanna know just how bad the state of the media is?
Consider this.
As we said last weekend, on Friday IBM belatedly admitted shutting down units and laying off almost 2,000 people in China.
How much press coverage did such considerable news receive?
Well, we saw only 4 (at most) articles about this. All of those were in Chinese or Taiwanese sites.
What does that tell us?
Is society being properly informed of what's happening in the commercial world?
Now it is considered "old news". Nobody will even mention it anymore. We last saw a blurb about it 4 days ago. █
