Looking Forward to the Fall of UPC and Revocation of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) Agreement, Which Was Always Illegal and Unconstitutional
Yesterday we shared some good news about the likely first step towards the end of the UPC - basically an extension of EPO corruption to the EU. We say "first step" because it'll take a lot of political power and will.
The news made my day, but at this point it's just something very preliminary (Roku taking the first step). An associate said that "Roku is big." I said, "courts are slow" (so "we will follow up").
"I hope Raku can make some progress," the associate added, "and that other news sites pick up the story along the way."
I argued that "good publicity will embolden them [Roku] to put in the money" and succeed in challenging the very legitimacy of the UPC, which was never meant to exist for many reasons.
We'll try to keep abreast of any progress in this case. Ending the UPC is a long-term goal. It is doable. If it does not happen, then it means lobbyists run the EU 100% and then the very existence of the EU is at risk (countries will vote to exit the EU). █
