There are many countries around the world (yesterday we mentioned Japan) where GNU/Linux took off in a big way in recent years. One of those countries is Qatar.
Judging by this latest data on Web usage in Qatar, GNU/Linux rapidly grew from negligible to significant. In the above chart, notice what happened to Windows.
Android rose to all-time highs, whereas Windows fell to 12%:
