reaching my bad news saturation point again
I can tell I'm reaching my "bad news saturation point" when I'm constantly crabby in ways I cannot articulate, everything feels like One Demand Too Many, and I'm having stupid nightmares. (Last night I was trapped in some kind of large industrial tank and had to get fished out on a rope by my brother, who according to the logic of the dream world, did not actually exist.)
And, I mean...who isn't? The Toddler-in-Chief is responding to China's predictable response to the tariff news by "throwing all our toys out of the collective pram," as a friend so aptly put it. Meanwhile, the further I get into Varoufakis's "Technofeudalism," the more it worries me that we're pissing off China economically.

Dihydrogen Monoxide
The stuff that chemtrails are made of. Water is a chemical, though "chemical" tends to be reserved for the scary stuff (or what is thought to be scary, dog whistles, etc) in this most enlightened and progressive of nations.

Gabbro 0.1.4 and the beginning of titan
Great news everyone, gabbro supports titan since 0.1.4!
Kind of late news though, as technically 0.1.4 was up and running on my server at least for a month already, since i made osiris file dumpster.
[...]
It's then the responsibility of that CGI to handle the file uploading logic as needed in that particular case. The file then can be retrieved with another CGI that reads the previously stored mime type and other metadata if needed.
To see how it's handled in example i recommend to read osiris devlog (link above).
In other news, 0.1.4+ releases are now on edition2024 of rust, finally! And on newer toolchains as well, starting from 1.85 and going up as newer versions are released.
Also the repo now lives on git.gay server. I had some strange ssh error with sourcehut that has exactly 2 pages about it on the whole internet when searched with quotes, so i decided to save my time not debugging it and just moved servers. Forgejo (the soft behind git.gay) also has more conventional PR flow so now anyone who'd interested can go and open a PR there hehe. Links to commits in previous devlog posts will be changed to their migrated version on git.gay, the sourcehut repo will stay inactive and possibly deleted in the future. Osiris code will also be moved to git.gay, and links will be changed throughout the devlog.

Disillusioned with social media
I actually ran the streak up to 60 days before breaking it last week, in order to look up materials for voice training. It was apparent, very quickly, that I didn't somehow cultivate a skill for using YouTube responsibly; I wasted several hours over a few days watching videos, again. I'm struggling to go whole days without opening it to assuage my boredom. again.
Even while I had my streak going, though, I wasn't really pushed away from screens. I was engaged in check-mania for the feeds I allowed myself: Tumblr, Mastodon, Gemini, and RSS. I've woken up this morning fairly disillusioned with all of it.
I've been lonely, lately. Online community can be nice, but passively consuming content isn't online community. I'd like to engage with my computer in a more intentional way, engage with the internet in a way actually conducive to community. I think I may want to move away from Tumblr/Mastodon to achieve that; focus on being an active member of ~town, instead, where I chat with and engage with a smaller community. I want to have fewer places to check.
