Microsoft's Entire Premise for Its Future Existence Goes Up in Flames
Published 32 minutes ago by Matt O'Brien (San Francisco Chronicle) was this paywalled article, confirming yet another mothballed pipe dream. We've lost track of how much - or how many of these - got canceled:
Microsoft's 2025 lies unravel. Meanwhile there's new information about more impending layoffs [1, 2], only two days after reports that Microsoft was laying off ~2,000 workers and 10 days since it was discovered Microsoft had mothballed its "AI" lab and sacked a lot of people without telling anybody (investigative journalists traveled to an empty site and took photographic evidence in the "ghost town").
It's like Microsoft has new waves of layoffs more than once a week while its stock falls by over 20%.
What a total mess. What a clusterfork. █
