On Desktops/Laptops in Singapore Does a Fifth of Users Run GNU/Linux?
Probably not, but it's growing fast there
THIS morning we published a pair of short articles about countries where GNU/Linux (or just Linux) adoption is very high this month [1, 2]. Singapore is one of those countries, but we lack an explanation for the sudden surge. However, looking at the above, there's no question about it; Singapore has shown steady growth for GNU/Linux for about half a decade already. Singapore has many technical people.
It'll be interest to watch what happens in the remainder of this year. Will be stay like in Norway?
Singapore's population size is similar to Norway's and both are known for high-quality education. █
