Google News is Amplifying FUD and Lies About Linux (and OpenSSH/SSH) by Promoting Slopfarms With Machine-Generated FUD and Slop Images
Slopfarms are a real problem. They're even worse than spamfarms in a lot of ways. They're sites that just spew out LLM slop (a form of plagiarism) and trick Google into sending them traffic*. It's even worse when Google News entertains them as a legitimate news source, as it has just done again with another slopfarm that we wrote about many times before [1, 2, 3]:
Google should know better. It is LLM slop based on the FUD mentioned the other day: Twisting Microsoft's Failure (Transmitting Malware) as "SSH Backdoors" and a Linux Problem (also notice the slop image added above)
Microsoft LLMs became FUD repeaters on the Web and Google plays along. Google News is dying. Google already laid off a lot of its staff. █
