Yesterday our Web sites (not Gemini) served about 1.2 million requests (many are annoying bots). The same happened a day earlier. If we still used WordPress and Drupal, there would be capacity problems. But not with a static site. Right now it's very snappy here in the UK:

It basically takes less than a tenth of a second to serve the page, even without any caching or CDN. If it has to travel under the sea, then it'll take longer, but we're not in control of that (at our back end) and we refuse to outsource. █
