In 24 Countries Observed by statCounter Vista 11 is Still Less Than a Quarter of Windows Users Despite All Other Versions Being 'Expired'
They ought to move to GNU/Linux, Windows is eternally compromised by design
Some rather lousy sites keep talking about Vista 11 as if 4 years after it has been "out" (it'll be 4 years this summer; the fake 'leak') people are flocking to it. That's just not happening, even if Microsoft keeps cautioning that Vista 10 users will be abandoned.
Adoption of Vista 11 is mostly a myth; it's way too slow to happen, no matter what Microsoft says or does.
We've decided to look at the data from statCounter. After 3+ years of Vista 11 being preloaded on PCs many people who use Windows are still on "10" (see the map above). Many moved to another operating system already.
Among those who use Windows, here are nations where Vista 11's adoption is less than a quarter (25%), based on statCounter.
Armenia: 8.42% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Cuba: 16.71% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Iran: 17.21% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Guinea-Bissau: 17.45% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Russian Federation: 18.65% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Seychelles: 19.73% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Central African Republic: 19.73% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Greece: 19.91% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Algeria: 20.22% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Madagascar: 20.34% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Belarus: 20.51% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Saint Pierre and Miquelon: 20.56% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Pakistan: 21.3% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Turkmenistan: 22.39% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Venezuela: 22.49% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Eritrea: 22.68% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Syrian Arab Republic: 22.99% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Serbia: 24% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Togo: 24.07% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Congo (Republic of the): 24.15% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Bosnia and Herzegovina: 24.16% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Hong Kong: 24.64% of Windows users are on Vista 11
Bangladesh: 24.67% of Windows users are on Vista 11
In many of the above countries not many people use Windows, so overall 20% for Vista 11 may be 5% of the whole (if Windows in general commands just 25% of "the market").
There are countries where Vista 11 is registered at about 0.2% because so few use Windows and among those who do Vista 11 isn't the adopted version.
As it turns out, the price of Windows fell by a lot. It did not help. Where is Microsoft going to make money? Selling and buying its own shares? It already compensates many of its employees in "stocks" (i.e. imaginary tokens or volatile symbols of "value" - mostly helping to artificially prop up the share value), not in traditional currencies. █
"They [Microsoft] have the deepest of pockets, unlimited ambition, and they are willing to lose money for years and years just to make sure that you don't make any money, either. And they are mean, REALLY mean."
-Robert X. Cringely
"Microsoft, the world’s most valuable company, declared a profit of $4.5 billion in 1998; when the cost of options awarded that year, plus the change in the value of outstanding options, is deducted, the firm made a loss of $18 billion, according to Smithers."
