One more statistic of interest for today comes from statCounter, based on data it has from Africa:

Pay careful attention to the red curve and bear in mind Vista 11 stopped gaining there (not that it gains much elsewhere).

Looking at African countries with high adoption levels of GNU/Linux (not counting Chromebooks): (source data)

South Africa: 5.03% GNU/Linux

Mali: 5.13% GNU/Linux

Sao Tome and Principe: 5.45% GNU/Linux

Benin: 5.58% GNU/Linux

Swaziland: 6.49% GNU/Linux

Botswana: 6.52% GNU/Linux

Lesotho: 10.17% GNU/Linux

Seychelles: 12.74% GNU/Linux

Ethiopia: 14.31% GNU/Linux

What will it be like by the end of this year? █
