    It’s about damned time! I’ve been checking every few days (since it showed up on all the other platforms a month or so ago,) so it must have been added at about the same time as the last system update – IE the last 48 hours or so.

    It’s really expensive, but I probably wont buy any more switch games for the rest of the year or even next year, so it’s not so bad, I guess.

    Looks like the update also brought along the virtual game cards feature that Nintendo has been advertising lately for lending games to Family members. Requires those in your family to update and re-login on their devices though.

  • IMAGINARY FRIENDS

    My thought of the day, jotted down this Saturday while it's too cold to make me want to go out and work on the Jag, and I'm too tired of researching political parties over the last few late evenings to do more of that. I have lots of hobbies, people look for friends who share hobbies, yet I barely have any friends and they don't share my hobbies. Most of this is lack of desire on my part, but can I think of a hobby where I would like to be involved with others? Perhaps it's a hobby bordering on a lifestyle, but I would like to group around people trying to use old computers efficiently in the modern environment. I'm writing now from a mid-90s PC, and it could be interesting to pool resources around circumventing hardware obsolescence. Yet the closest existing group to this would be the Permacomputing crowd, and they seem all too theoretical rather than practical to me. Or is that lack of flexibility on my part what stops me?

    I haven't done very well at researching political partities for this election, only getting a few done this year, though mostly ones I haven't looked at closely before. It's all such a pain trying to find time after the candidates are finally announced by the AEC.

  • Is there a man page for Gemini?

    When generating the manual page for my recent tool for managing the Antenna filter, I found ChatGPT had hallucinated the existence of manpage called gemini(7).

    Of course this is a thing which definitely ought to exist. Has someone written something that would work well and which is under an appropriate licence? It would be helpful when shipping Gemini-related tools for UNIX-like systems.
