Book: Changing Places
Another book finished. This time something different called Changing Places by David Lodge. This is the first in the Campus trilogy, a set of books which, unsurprisingly, relate to a university. It is a British take on the typically American college campus novel.
I found out about David Lodge via a Birmingham local newsletter, the Birmingham Dispatch. Lodge was a lecturer based in the English department at Birmingham University. He came to the city from the outside and seemed to love it. Seeing as I am similarly from outside Birmingham but have spent rather a long time living in the city or the surrounding area, I felt it was worth a punt to read.

About (2020–2025)
When I started this capsule in late 2020, I thought to myself “How can I make it so the work of writing for the Internet is as pleasant as possible? How can I keep the friction of writing as low as possible?”
I settled on having no build step for the site itself, like I would with Hugo (a popular and very good static-site generator). I would just write, and then reupload everything when I wanted to publish or update something.

Moving out of the vaporware phase - StarGrid's alpha release for PalmOS is here!
I started developing StarGrid in January of this year, after many intermittent evenings of planning and working on the game, I'm happy to say that a playable alpha version is now available for download!
