At IBM, Relocation Can be a Trick or a Trap (IBM Gets Rid of Staff Under the Guise of "Relo")
Last year: IBM is Cutting - Almost in Half - Its Office Space in Austin, So Expect Many Layoffs (RAs)
IBM is not being honest with employees and there's this new thread discussing severance not paid (or not on time). Hours ago someone said that "Dallas Relo Packages Delayed until June!"
To quote: "IBM Dallas is closing. Relo[cation] packages to Austin were promised no later than 5/15. Today it was announced it will be June! Rumor is that no severance or relo[cation] will actually be offered for Austin. Yikes!"
We've long said, based on what we read, that "relocation" is a trap. First, it causes many people to resign; second, those who do relocate soon afterwards lose their job (after PIP or not) or have their seniority reset, which can impact severance calculations.

IBM isn't a good company to be in right now. █
