    We knew it was going to rain. We went for a short walk through Postira and then we had the fantastic idea of driving to the other side of the island, hoping to find the other side sunny. And so it was! At first, though, we drove in the pouring rain. It was only the last few kilometres that we started seeing the sun. We went for a short run and managed to take a bath at the Golden Horn, purportedly the “most beautiful beach” of Croatia. Significantly overhyped, for sure. At least during the off season it is mostly empty. 😍

    We went for a walk along the coast to Lovrečina. All the bars and restaurants were closed but the flowers were in bloom. It’s May! 😍

    I'm still fragile, emotions get triggered easily, but there is less crying.

    It such a good lesson, to know that this is all self created. No one around me pushed me into this, no one 'played' me. Just me and my imagination, a bit of human interaction.

    I pull a tarot reading, and from the lover to death to the pope, the change is quite powerful.

  • The next UK general election

    The current opinion polls for the next UK general election are a bit unusual: a third party with almost no seats is well out ahead. But the next election is likely several years away. Even if the current polling situation obtained much closer to the election, the parties might at the last minute withdraw some of their candidates as happened in 2019.

  • Reticulum and Meshtastic a New HOPE!

    This last months I found out on SDR newsgroups on usenet about Meshtastic and Reticulum.

    So like any hacker I started to dig into tons and tons of RTFM manuals and technical information, felt in love with the idea and the people using it, basically a lot of other hackers, and you know hackers are going to grab things and make them do things they were not intended to do, so checks all my boxes no pun intended :D :D

      The title is harkening back to a nostalgic tradition, where the presence of commenters and discussion was a welcome sign. In the same way, I'm returning to blogging because I want to write and be read.

      I'm choosing a delightful indie platform, smol.pub, which targets the platforms I want to support, namely Gemini Protocol, RSS and simple (smol) web.
