A year ago: United Arab Emirates (UAE) Rising... Towards 5% for ChromeOS and GNU/Linux

statCounter's latest numbers indicate GNU/Linux growth in a country about the same size as Portugal. Maybe it's too early to rush to any conclusions, but countries in that region will quickly learn the price of neglecting digital sovereignty. In the neighbouring Oman GNU/Linux also leaps to all-time highs. It's not that they cannot afford Microsoft (financially), it's just that they cannot afford Microsoft. █
