By now we assume that around 10,000 workers (maybe a lot more) were notified of their "last day" or simply "locked out" (in the name of 'security'; one day you're a trusted company 'asset', the next day they treat you like a threat and an eager enemy).
In 2025 GNU/Linux is making good strides, which means that more people around the world find some digital independence. They can get stuff done without being watched all the time and they're in control of their tools.
Maybe tomorrow will be a good opportunity to explain to American people - in terms of concepts, not brands - which tools respect their independence and why they need to leave behind GAFAM (Google, Apple, Microsoft etc.) as things will otherwise worsen over time. █
