The Hype That Microsoft and The Register MS (Among Others) Promote Helps Stage DDoS Attacks on Free Software Sites
The various services and sites of the FSF are difficult to reach. Mailing lists are down again (about the fifth time that I notice it this past week alone) and others report similar experiences, which the FSF staff attributes to LLM bots blasting away at their modest infrastructure.
Not only Microsoft stands to benefit from evil aspects of LLMs, which help attack information, attack rivals, and plagiarise (while attempting to sell plagiarism-as-a-service).
Microsoft is, to put it bluntly, pure evil. There is nothing benign or neutral about this company. The company paid a violent Serial Strangler (who worked on LLMs). The person who now SLAPPs me. Apparently it's not a crime to strangle women but to oppose this or merely talk about this.
The Register MS (formerly The Register US and years ago The Register UK) is actively participating in this agenda and egging on the Microsofters who do this. Follow the staff (the key people came from Microsoft) and also the money.
Sites like these actively encourage these attacks on the Web, and they look for a quick buck by participating in the scam and inflating the bubble (for more companies to "jump in" and slop away at the rest of us).
The FSF's sites have been under de facto DDoS attacks all week long. This will probably impact the health - e.g. lack of sleep - of the staff. █
