Companies Realise That Slop Doesn't Work as Advertised, Accordingly Dump It
Data Shows That AI Use Is Now Declining at Large Companies (via Geminispace):
What took so long? Who cares...
Well, for one thing a lot of the media is being bribed to pretend "AI" (by which the bribed sites mean slop) is the best thing since sliced bread and is bound to take over, one way or another. We've just mentioned how The Register MS looked to profit from participating in this Ponzi scheme (also yesterday), which will end up no better than the "dot-com" bubble.
It is not a question of if; it's a question of when. The never-ending mass layoffs at Microsoft contradict the impression sold based on share price. As Microsoft fans put it this past weekend: "Microsoft sinks billions into chasing artificial intelligence fads to hype up its share price." █
