Geminispace is Growing Faster in 2025 Than It Did in 2024
Geminispace grew in 2024, but this year, based on our assessment, it is growing even faster. This past month or two we saw several key milestones reached and exceeded; expectations transcended.
In terms of traffic (# of requests in Geminispace), we also see growth. The other day someone came to our IRC network to ask for help setting up a capsule with Agate. We habitually have people who come to IRC because they found us in Geminispace and/or regularly read this site in "capsule form", i.e. over gemini:// (no relation to HTML or the Web).
Don't believe the naysayers. Geminispace is doing absolutely fine. What matters is that corporations haven't ruined it and LLM slop is extremely rare.
It's not about quantity (size) but the average quality. No ads, no press release, no bloat. █
