self worth
I have very little self worth.
When I was alone I wouldn't judge myself too harshly. Now that I am in elongated casual(ish) relationship, the judgment is coming back. I mean this wasn't meant to be a relationship, and it's not really one at this point. But since it's lasting longer, I've started to have intrusive though about my worth.

Civil War
“Civil war is the greatest social and economic cataclysm that can befall a country. There is no natural or manmade disaster that quite rivals it for the scope and reach of its destructive power, made all the worse by the fact that civil war rarely brings people together as other shared disasters do. A hurricane, foreign invasion, flood, epidemic, whatever. Instead, civil war forces everyone to retreat inward into isolated bitterness, or crash them outwards, angrily seeking revenge against all their enemies. Civil war is atrocious. It wrecks the physical, social, and economic connections that make a society possible.”

Oh, I knew that really. 🤦
If a Codeberg repo has a "pages" branch with some HTML pages, they are available as a web site. I have a repo that generates some HTML, so that's a handy feature. One curious side effect us that I have two branches with no files in common and no common ancestor commit.
To regenerate the content of the pages branch and push the changes is a bit of a faff, so I scripted it up and added the script to the main branch. While the script is running, it checks out the pages branch which means that the script no longer exists. Hmm. This is not a problem. Shells on Linux, etc. read a script when it starts. I can run this in Termux on my phone and all is well.

Goodbye Web
The more I thought about the issue raised in my last post [0], the more I realized I had had enough of hosting mostly duplicate content on the web.
I've also had more problems with the AI bots and my RPG forum, and although I'm keeping that up as best I can (it is a nice, small community that others enjoy), the thought of AI bots ingesting all the content on my personal website really rubs me the wrong way.
