Either The Register MS Divests From FOSS Coverage or Liam Proven is on Long Holiday
Maybe it's too early to leap to any concrete conclusions, but it has been a long time since I last saw an article from Liam Proven. Having just checked, he has not been active for 10 days and there is no national holiday here. Prior to that he had published just about every week for many months. 3-6 months ago he had a lot more output (just before the Microsoft-loving editors came in).
Seeing the general trajectory of that publishing firm (hiring many Microsofters for the most senior roles), it would not be too shocking if it reduced "FOSS" (the term used by Liam Proven) coverage to better focus on profitable scam-pushing like sponsored "hey hi" nonsense (Ponzi scheme, helping to inflate the bubble).
Publishers perish when their audience loses trust in them. Then they turn to B2B, i.e. a glorified form of spamfarming. █
