birthday
In a couple of days it will be my birthday. It’s a strange day to celebrate — I’ve never really understood what there is to celebrate: birth? life? Here, in space, everything seems even more meaningless. Yet, in the end, it’s just another way to be close to those who truly matter. Perhaps we should really rethink the “traditions” of our species — or perhaps the species itself.

I'm happy, but strangely lonely.
Hi Midnight Pub. It's been a longtime since I've went back on this website and I've been running through the posts I've missed out on in the last few months. Life has been overall good---I've moved cross-country back home, at least temporarily until my partner finishes his Master's. Now I live in a big, bustling city, I've been making friends (albeit slowly) and reconnecting with childhood ones too, and I've been working on my project almost entirely, using freelance as a means to support me. And best of all, I'm going to be traveling soon after getting accepted in a month-long program, which means I'm going to get to see Europe. All that's to say is that my life is comfortable, especially while my move is still brand-new and everything feels lively here in uptown, while the weather is still (somewhat) warm.

Blue Jays in ALCS
The Blue Jays played the Yankees in the ALDS and it almost killed me. Despite the often-lopsided scores, the games always felt close. Blame the Yankees' offense, homer-heavy and always dangerous. They didn't manage to score a ton of homers in the series, except for Aaron Judge, and his magnificent (and crushing) three-run shot in game 3 to tie it 6-6. But the Jays won. They clinched in New York, and now, after the Mariners' marathon 15-inning win against the Tigers last night, are due to play Seattle in Toronto on Sunday.

Enjoying lossless music again
Around ten years ago, it used to be that most of the music I listened to was from my own personal file collection in lossless formats. Over time though as my music tastes changed and I leaned on streaming more and more, my collection didn’t keep up and I stopped paying attention to audio quality as much as I once did.
So I was pretty excited when Spotify just added lossless audio quality as an option! I’m definitely no audiophile, but I’ve been having a great time going back and rediscovering music I’ve never heard in lossless quality before now.

Giving up 🪟
Support for Windows 10 is ending. What to do?
I could go to Linux, but experience shows that I don't have the patience to deal with it: I have a Linux machine that gradually accumulated issues until I stopped using it. I don't want to fix an OS. I do want to run some software.

I want ask something, its right gemini server will shutdown guys?!!
I think this is a mafia game. From the internet business industry and technocrats who deceive and lobby the holders of this Gemini server, and bribe them with money, and threaten them to close the server. I know this news from Gemlog Blue, and suddenly the Mozz portal also suddenly appeared a server error. Sorry for that reason too, I have to put my Gemini portal source page here. And some of them I put on Flounder and YesterdayCities. The nonsense that Skyjake and the Gemlog host master said that there are many bot accounts, that is not true, because almost all countries have blocked sites by the government, due to the current tense world geopolitical problems, many IP addresses are no longer static, but dynamic.
