Egalitarianism is all fine and well, but when people are tight/desperate for cash priorities change. Right now and more so this past 1-2 months France is mentioned in relation to its humongous debt, which can make it "the next Italy".

At the same time we hear of French regions choosing to embrace Software Freedom. It's also about cost-savings.

Dr. Stallman recently spoke to the French community. This week he goes to Germany. So far his European tour is very successful; he attracts audiences almost as large as 1,000 people. █
