Richard Stallman is Having a Good Week Already (Stallman Was Right About 'Clown Computing')
"Cloud computing is a trap." - Richard Stallman.
South Korea last month: All our servers and data became a cloud of smoke.
AWS this week: hold ma beer!
Richard Stallman's talk in Buenos Aires next month is a "remote talk" (over the Net). It'll be very relevant to what happened to AWS yesterday (shortly before his talk in the Bavarian Academy of Science [1, 2]) because it's about a supposedly 'decentralised' thing. Yes, supposedly.
How's that for a talking point about Clown Computing?
That alone is worth bringing up in his talk. It's very timely.
But later today Dr. Stallman actually speaks in the Technical University of Munich [1, 2, 3], near the EPO, and I've just told him to cover software patents too. The talk will otherwise be focused on Software Freedom. Details of his talk (Free/Libre software and freedom in the digital society) are in his Web site. █
