That refers to a bug in an update you don't get to turn down killing off peripherals in some contexts; and then we have this: Vista 10 Died One Week Ago and GNU/Linux is Gaining
Microsoft Windows is a "burning platform", to reuse or paraphrase Microsoft's Elon (when he was setting Nokia ablaze, as Nokia had adopted GNU/Linux and had become a top 3 Linux contributor in 2010). The mass firings and the mass-but-silent layoffs (we estimate Microsoft has already canned over 30,000 workers since January 2025) contribute to the burning and result in users' burnout. Some will simply call it "the last straw" and abandon Windows forever. Under PIPs, many Microsoft workers will resign and leave Microsoft forever.
We're witnessing a shift in platform dominance. █
