Week of EPO Leaks: Workers of the EPO Are Getting a Pay Cut While Prices Rise Fast
Days ago: Techrights to Publish More EPO Leaks Next Week
12 days ago: Is the Second-Largest Institution in Europe (EPO) Gradually Becoming More Like a Sweatshop?
It is almost Sunday here and we've decided to shift back our focus to the EPO, even if a bit prematurely. We now have a copy of a new presentation explaining how Benoît Battistelli and António Campinos took away from the staff to give more to monopolists. The EPO totally lost sight of its original mission.
Last week the Local Staff Committee Munich (LSCMN) circulated the following publication/flyer:
Örtlicher Personalausschuss München Innenstadt, Haar und Brüssel
Local Staff Committee Munich City, Haar and Brussels
Le Comité local du Personnel de Munich Ville, Haar et BruxellesMunich, 20-10-2025
sc25015mpReport on the Flash Meeting of Friday 10 October
Work more for less as of JanuaryDear Colleagues,
On Friday 10 October, 400 colleagues followed a Flash Meeting of the Local Staff Committee Munich, Haar & Brussels (LSCMN).
The LSCMN wanted to timely inform staff that the increase of +2.2 percentage points in staff social security contributions would not be covered by the +1.2% salary adjustment (in Germany) and result in a pay cut of -1.0%
The opinions of the Central Staff Committee (CSC) for the General Consultative Committee (GCC) meeting of 6 October 2025 are now available.
We would like to thank everybody for their participation and for submitting questions during the event. EPO staff showed a clear interest in the topic of the Actuarial Study 2025.
The presented slides can be found at the link below:
• Work more for less as of January – Why will our salary decrease?
EPO staff worked well in 2025 and does not deserve a pay cut.
Sincerely yours,
The Local Staff Committee Munich, Haar & Brussels
