This site has shared the news - the real news - for nearly 20 years. It has served billions of requests, including many today (as expected, the latest EPO series - see Part I and Part II if you didn't already - went "viral").
"Join Us Now and Share the Software" is an old song whose main message was, we need to share. We must encourage people to share code, as this way users will be in a position to control their computing and - by extension - their lives. Because lives are increasingly being governed by computerised systems.
Similarly, news and information liberate. They properly inform people. Informed people can make better decisions.
This is an important year for us. This year we make a very strong, firm statement for truth, even if that means explaining our work to the top media judge in the country. We eagerly look forward to this opportunity. █
