News on the Web is Becoming Rare, Shallow, and Difficult to Find
We may sound like a "broken record" about this matter, but a few days ago we once again discussed, semi-internally, the issue of the Web - including carefully curated RSS feeds - not containing much of anything (of substance) anymore. Coincidentally, the US regime has managed to put an end to RFA; what's left is negligible and the official "end" was yesterday. The US no longer believes in journalism. Building rich people's ballrooms that are barely seen and scarcely used is far more important than properly informed members of the public, right?
Some time after our anniversary party (this coming Friday) we want to officially launch the search facility and we're still trying to come up with better ways of finding and curating news, preferably algorithmically.
To efficiently and rapidly find original and important news without underlying comprehension/understanding of the news (and its context) is a hard task; word-scanning is too shallow a criterion. █
