Microsoft: Our "Goodwill" Value Grew More Than Tenfold Since 2011
Hallmark of pseudo-economics
Based on their own accounting statements:
IBM's goodwill increased by over 8 billion dollars this year, according to IBM:
Don't worry if Microsoft and IBM (and many other companies) lay off hundreds of thousands of people. They talk about "headcount" using phony yardsticks (contractors don't count as staff per se) and they tell us they're "worth" more than ever, even if their debt is sky-high and remaining assets get classified as "intangible", i.e. mostly imaginary. They shut down many offices.
This is what economic bubbles look like. Who has the courage to say the emperor is, in fact, naked? █
