Red Hat Staff Also Impacted by Latest IBM Layoffs With Focus on North America and Software, Infrastructure
2 hours ago:
Going through about 300 comments regarding IBM layoffs (hundreds so far this week, the scope/scale is vast) we do see Red Hat casually mentioned. People say that IBM's CEO let it go to waste after he had driven out Red Hat's CEO, who was 'supposed' to be the next CEO rather than just "President". A gem became a useless rock under misguided, even outright clueless, IBM management.
As we said several times earlier this week [1, 2], "last day" typically means, "I was asked to leave on my own at some future date, in order to make it seem voluntary" (and to get some decent compensation package in exchange for not rocking the boat).
Many Red Hat employees have made "last day" posts lately. After the bluewashing never expect to see news about "Red Hat layoffs", just as "Tivoli layoffs" aren't to be expected. █
