Who Will Hold Publishers Accountable for Pushing Ponzi Schemes for Financial Gain?
This will collapse, who will pay the price?
As noted a week ago, those are Microsoft ads in the front page of The Register MS. Right now as a feature article [sic] at The Register MS:
The Register MS et al truly deserve some difficult questions. One such question is, do you assess the ethics of your advertising? Another question might be, are you aware that you're advancing a bubble and participating in a de facto pump-and-dump scheme?
Based on my conversations with the former chief editor of The Register MS, they're fully aware of the fact that this is mindless hype. Yet they actively participate in it. What does that say about greed and morality? They're priming the market for a very steep collapse as long as they can get away with it.
In the case of Nvidia, they profit from this bubble as they sell stuff companies neither need nor use. It won't last. They flood the market.
Did the publishers at The Register MS consider their implicit obligations to inform the public rather than mislead the public (for financial gain)? There are also environmental aspects to be considered here, but that's for another day. █
