Abuses Women at the EPO, Uses His Daughters to Comfort His Big Ego Whilst EPO Breaks Laws
Europe's largest institutions must not be governed by misogynists who curse at women (at the EPO, women in power are typically family members, so there is a "bedroom nepotism" element)
The person who controls the media on behalf of the EPO is a cocaine addict. Bribes and threats must never govern media activities.
Yesterday we wrote about the real versus the phony EPO scandals, or rather what truly matters and what boils down to chatter.
Today we deal with Team Campinos and the cocaine bust. We have received a lot of very relevant information and we'll cover this in the future based on insider accounts.
At the end of last month, a day before hitching a ride to London, we published this article about the busted cocaine user (and EPO official) alongside a young woman. Yesterday we got it confirmed that it was in fact his daughter. So it's confirmed now; hence no big scandal there (unless of course his two daughters and his wife express concerns about his apparently strong cocaine addiction; how long have they known?).
As someone - or a collective of someones - put it 3 weeks ago:
The reason we are mentioning all of this is because it is a matter of record that the main protagonist Luis Berenguer Giménez has two daughters whom he refers to as his "princesses" (see for example the header of his "X" account").His Instagram account also states "Caring for princesses since 2006" ("Cuidando princesas desde 2006") which indicates that his eldest daughter would have been around 16 in 2022.
Therefore, it seems to us that there are two possible scenarios behind this photo which is entitled "In the best of company today" ("Hoy con la mejor compania"):
1. It shows a "Sugar Daddy" in his 50s in an inappropriate pose with a much younger female companion.
2. It shows a devoted Spanish Daddy in an affectionate pose with one of his "princess" daughters during a day out at the Oktoberfest.
As the saying goes "he's old enough to be her father".
But here there is a distinct *possibility* that this might actually be the case.
Scenario 1. might well be the subject of legitimate public comment.
Scenario 2. probably less so...
It is the latter. Now we know for sure. In that case, the only relevant question to ask is, are the ladies he shares a home with aware of his drug use? There are many other questions that can be asked, but some would be loaded questions.
As readers put it: "Given that the published photo has been redacted - and rightly so - to obscure the face of the person in question, we are not in a position to say which of the above scenarios applies."
"We are just mentioning this to encourage you to double-check the facts with your "sources" before publishing any more speculation in this direction."
We did in fact check some more and it's confirmed to us now that it was the daughter. We'll revisit his bad relationship with women - set aside women in his own family - some time next month or next year.
Some time soon we'll start covering the role of the Spanish media in covering or not covering the corruption and mischief of what EPO workers call the "Alicante Mafia" (which goes back to the EU through the EUIPO, implicating a lot more than the EPO alone).
As for our coverage, it does have impact. In fact we saw some blogs mentioning this in recent days (in Spanish).
Why is the mainstream media in Spain (or other Spanish-speaking media) so quiet about a Spaniard in such a senior position getting busted for cocaine? Can our readers help us contact journalists and help change this SLAPPy culture? Having spoken to some high-profile European publishers, we now understand that not only the EPO engages in SLAPPs; the friends of António Campinos who are left to govern EUIPO do the same.
What is Europe turning into and will Europeans only start caring when reporters fall out of windows (like in Russia)? █
