Last month: Is the Second-Largest Institution in Europe (EPO) Gradually Becoming More Like a Sweatshop?

The EPO under Benoît Battistelli took away many permanent contracts. His friend António Campinos, together with his "Mafia", is taking away money from staff.

Before the weekend the Local Staff Committee Munich, Haar & Brussels circulated a summary of a recent meeting, by sharing both videos of the sessions and also the slides. The overview of it all said:

Report on the General Assembly of Thursday 13 November

[...]

Dear Colleagues,

On Thursday 13 November, 700 colleagues followed a General Assembly of the Local Staff Committee Munich, Haar & Brussels (LSCMN).

The LSCMN wanted to timely inform staff that after 6 years of application of the salary adjustment procedure introduced in 2020, the on-going review reveals a severe erosion of the salaries of EPO staff. The presented slides can be found at the link below:

• Salary Erosion Procedure – How much we lost since 2020

[...]

In advance of the General Consultative Committee (GCC) meeting of 17 November 2025, the Central Staff Committee (CSC) has sent out written comments to the administration.

We would like to thank everybody for their participation and for submitting questions during the event. EPO staff showed a clear interest in the erosion of their salaries over the last six years.

The videos of the General Assembly can be found at the link below:

• Presentation of the slides

• Q&A session

It is time to repair the damage caused to staff and our Organisation.

Sincerely yours,

The Local Staff Committee Munich, Haar & Brussels

Later today we'll get back to covering EPO 'Cocainegate'. Cocaine isn't cheap; plundering EPO staff to give more to managers (and their family/friends) isn't OK.
