More Exits in Kyndryl/IBM Reported Today, Probably Part of Company-Wide RAs, India Apparently Impacted Also
This was minutes ago: (working for IBM India since December 2014 )
Earlier today: (in Greater Bengaluru Area) IBM RAs (Layoffs) Likely Impacting Kyndryl, Not Just Red Hat (PIPs and Other "Last Day" Walkout Loopholes)
Last year: IBM, Kyndryl, Subsidiaries (Like Red Hat) and Silent Layoffs
It has become increasingly fashionable to explain that each time IBM sacks 'expensive' workers in the West it then hires multiple workers in a cheaper economy to replace them. However, in reality it seems that many don't get replaced at all and even some "low-paid" workers are let go. IBM is a dumpster fire and people who mention "last day" often get pushed out, either RA'ed or PIP'ed.
To be clear, these people are not retiring (wrong age) and weren't in IBM for only a few years.
Wishing or excusing this away won't be trivial. There's more here, but no updates at all in the past week (not even comments). █
