Musk Doubles Down on Support for German Far-Right Party

MP Petr Bystron is accused of receiving money from Russia in return for influence - something he denies.

Yesterday I wrote about Twitter (now X.com) going all bonkers, and not for the first time. For technical reasons, the site isn't working; it breaks in all sorts of ways all the time. It is not always the fault of ClownFlare.

Now, from a policy point-of-view (POV, perspective), the MElon-controlled social control network is also failing. It's failing and also failing the users.

First of all, it seems apparent that this MElon-controlled social control network is an indoctrination hub that, aside from being polluted with racist chatbots (made so by design) is also infested with many troll accounts [1,2]. Their biases are hardly shocking, more so given the mindset of the psychopathic owner.

Censorship aspects are another matter; Twitter under MElon is basically 'doxing' users now, potentially putting the lives of some at risk [3].

Many people who are still "in Twitter" or "active in X" or whatever are saying a lot about themselves, even if many of them don't quite realise what message (about themselves) they're projecting to the world.

People who say "I'm not in Twitter" or "I have no Twitter followers" aren't unpopular. They're just smart about social control networks and have better use for their time.

  1. Twitter's New Feature Accidentally Reveals Something Fascinating About Huge MAGA Influencers

Elon Musk’s social media echo chamber X-formerly-Twitter introduced a new feature over the weekend that shows the location where its users have been tweeting from — a move that has exposed an embarrassing problem for the social network: that many of its most politically inflammatory users are actually foreign scammers cashing in on gullible and outrage-hungry Americans.

  2. X's Top MAGA Trolls Revealed to Be Foreign Accounts

As soon as this new information was unleashed, people began looking at the location data for accounts that primarily serve to stoke political tensions in the U.S. with far-right narratives that are often misleading or outright false. Many were instantly revealed to live abroad, suggesting that they have spent years posting this material less out of ideological motivations than for the money, accelerating the polarization of the American electorate in the process.

  3. New X Feature Exposes Who In Iran Is Bypassing State For Unblocked Internet

The new feature has exposed accounts in Iran that access the platform using what Iranians call “white SIM cards,” which allow unrestricted Internet access as part of the so-called “tiered Internet” system in Iran.
