Twitter Became a Very Dangerous (to Its Users) Site
Yesterday I wrote about Twitter (now X.com) going all bonkers, and not for the first time. For technical reasons, the site isn't working; it breaks in all sorts of ways all the time. It is not always the fault of ClownFlare.
Now, from a policy point-of-view (POV, perspective), the MElon-controlled social control network is also failing. It's failing and also failing the users.
First of all, it seems apparent that this MElon-controlled social control network is an indoctrination hub that, aside from being polluted with racist chatbots (made so by design) is also infested with many troll accounts [1,2]. Their biases are hardly shocking, more so given the mindset of the psychopathic owner.
Censorship aspects are another matter; Twitter under MElon is basically 'doxing' users now, potentially putting the lives of some at risk [3].
Many people who are still "in Twitter" or "active in X" or whatever are saying a lot about themselves, even if many of them don't quite realise what message (about themselves) they're projecting to the world.
People who say "I'm not in Twitter" or "I have no Twitter followers" aren't unpopular. They're just smart about social control networks and have better use for their time. █

As soon as this new information was unleashed, people began looking at the location data for accounts that primarily serve to stoke political tensions in the U.S. with far-right narratives that are often misleading or outright false.
