We Keep Seeing Evidence That IBM RAs Impact India as Well
1 hour ago: "IBM no longer needs any Research sites, as our strategy is increasingly to simply acquire other companies." (More earlier)

In Kerala, India (since around 2021, so nearly half a decade at IBM)
The popular or hot thing to say inside IBM (not a taboo unless you show your real name) is that "the jobs go to India" or "replaced at IBM by someone on a visa" (the lion's share of tech-related visas are granted to Indians, not just at IBM).
However, this past week we see evidence of quite a few people based in India leaving IBM. Some of them give no indication of having found employment elsewhere (another country or company), so it looks like IBM layoffs, which IBM would call "RAs".
Combining this with mass layoffs and permanent closures in places like Mexico and Brazil (no prospect of very high salaries), you can truly tell something ain't right at IBM. Some Red Hat staff is just tactlessly blowing smoke and attacking community developers, maybe out of frustration (it must be stressful to still work at Red Hat right now; they do PIPs).
Given the flow of money (people in the media eating from IBM's palm), the lack of media coverage about this isn't shocking. We merely fill a vacuum or a gap. █
