Yesterday on television they said that our government had attempted to make baby formula more affordable (it may have already cemented this decision) after the price doubled if not trebled in a matter of years. Only one possible explanation for these price hikes: collusion, price-fixing, a "cartel" of sorts.
We need regulation, not discounts. Companies like GAFAM need to be treated like the "drug lords" that they are. They don't come here with freebies, they come here with bait and traps. They attempt to control whole population through technology. We need to say "no". Dr. Andy Farnell, in his latest article, explains: "Most of the cheap courses are thinly veiled sales pitches for commercial products by companies like Microsoft and Cisco. At best they are commonplace configuration guides for proprietary cruft. They are Mr. Fox's Guide to Hen-house Security."
He later says "dump Microsoft, Google and all of those tired old intrusive, insecure, untrustworthy and quite frankly rubbish US tech products whose real purpose is US control and industrial espionage on the UK. Remember, we invented the computer (Babbage) and the entire theory of computation (Turing), so I'm sure we still know how to make and program some new ones to serve the people instead of terrorising and depressing them."
