Every Site That Uses Clownflare Had Worse Downtime/Uptime Record Than Ours
And the same goes for Azure and AWS
Only a couple of weeks [1, 2, 3] after the latest massive outage (November 18), Clownflare fell over once more and then made excuses for it.
Many sites were impacted by it, as usual, even Microsoft's (apparently Microsoft cannot implement its own CDN!):
We've had better uptime this year than any site that uses Clownflare. Suppose a reboot causes us a minute in downtime and one Clownflare outage takes down all Clownflare-encumbered sites for several hours. That's like a lot of reboots.
Clown Computing, in general, worsens one's uptime because it means more things that can go wrong and are moreover outside one's own control.
Outsourcing isn't "modern" or "inevitable"; it is a form of stupidity, fostered and encouraged through mass ignorance or aggressive marketing in submissive media (same sites that try to sell us slop as "intelligence" also tell us Clown Computing means better reliability or cultivates "cost-savings"). █
