Memories of the childhood me
Most of my nostalgic memories from my childhood are always inside my house, either playing with my toys or watching TV, or playing with my computer when I grew a bit older. That's why I feel so nostalgic when I spend an afternoon at home with doors closed, just by myself.
it feels so ritualistic for me, even though it can be something so non-specific, just spending time by myself makes me feel this way, it doesn't matter the activity.

Sweetness and Burn: The (Lack of) Bourbon Problem
Like some (many?) Canadians, I've been trying to buy Canadian (and if I can't, to at least not buy American) since earlier in the year. As far as my drinking habits go, I've been drinking local microbrew beers for years, no change in habit there; but when it comes to my other drink of choice, whisky, it's been a tougher nut to crack.
I sometimes drink Scotch (my annual bottle of Glenmorangie 10-year), occasionally Irish (Black Bush being my usual), ditto Canadian (I have a few favourites, but Alberta Premium, Gibson's Finest, and a couple others are my budget go-tos). But my favourite style of whisky is bourbon, and so the whole "don't drink American" thing has left me looking for some kind of alternative.

Low image resolution archive
I added a new feature to Oddμ: A `-shrink` option to the subcommand to generate a static web site from the working directory. Ordinarily, the static site is generated by translating all the Markdown files to HTML and linking all the other files. The *shrink* option attempts to shrink all the images. I only have the ability to encode JPG, PNG and WebP images, so it won't work on any other image or video formats.
