IBMers Impacted by the Mass Layoffs (Which IBM Tries Not to Talk About) Are Livid as the CEO "Spends 11 Billion He Doesn’t Have"
There are reports that IBM prepares to buy Confluent. Months ago it bought HashiCorp and there already seem to be layoffs there.
Notice the following reactions to the news regarding Confluent: (a moderator will likely censor some of these later):
We're meant to think IBM is big and strong because of this, but meanwhile its employees squeak about getting laid off. The debt goes through the ceiling and any revenue "gains" are achieved by buying other companies' revenue.
Regarding Red Hat, they now openly and publicly just call themselves "IBM": "I'm a Principal Software Engineer at IBM (Formerly Red Hat)"
That's Jonathan Michael Thomas Dowland. He's in Debian as well.
So IBM layoffs include Red Hat layoffs. It's more or less the same thing or overlapping thing. This one has just earned his Ph.D., but as we showed this morning, even people with a Ph.D. get laid off by IBM.
IBM isn't interested in knowledge, it just looks to inflate revenue even by faking things. It lays off "Expensive" (meaning, "Qualified") people. IBM dooms both its brand and its future. █
