A Utopian and Very Dumb Vision of Technology, Based on Accounting Fraud

A lame and abundantly tactless media, some of it getting paid to act that way, will tell us that the future is "AI". What does that even mean?
Well, it doesn't matter.
Companies that profit from waste of energy dictate to us that we must use things that waste more and more energy. The end goal is to make them richer, even if that means water gets more scarce and wars become more likely, set aside price of energy (that leads to poverty).
Last Sunday (a week ago) an NVIDIA employee told me that NVIDIA and others had become so delirious that they suggested putting datacentres in space. Aside from many practical limitations, how much energy would it take to propel hardware to this altitude and then set it into orbit, where it can collide with other objects (without any prior notice)? Remember the Kessler syndrome.
Imagine having to catch some massive object in orbit, in order to just replace a damaged or old hard drive on it. (Hard task for a robot)
Set aside the massive rocket it'll take to send the replacement drive into a high enough altitude.
Why does the media even entertain such nonsense? Because "MElon sez..."?
One must therefore conclude that the "industry" has become insane and a lot of "the media" is going along with it, or it participates in the insanity in exchange for money. █
