This morning we mentioned (and quoted IRC) how Microsoft had vandalised computing (with restricted boot) and then called its vandalism "BIOS".
None of this is an 'accident' or a mere 'side effect'. This was all along the goal.
Why didn't European authorities properly deal with this issue back in 2012? Well, the 'Hulk Hogan of UEFI' came along, saying this was OK.
As time went by there was more and more evidence this was not OK and Linus Torvalds Was Right. █
