In the coming 16 days (what's still left of this year) we'll cover more EPO "inside(r) stories" and unearth more scandalous things. The management of the EPO has been trying to suppress information and prevent information from coming out, but we'll bring a lot of it out anyway; if not this month, then next year (we have plenty for both).
EPO Cocainegate is not going away, so far it has mostly served to show that all the mainstream European media is totally OK with high-level officials doing cocaine and it'll even go out of its way to hide that.
What do we call nations or press that behave this way? "Third-world"?
What's at stake here isn't just the EPO or the patent system.
Regardless, what we've come to learn is, the cocaine people at the EPO (known internally as "the Mafia" or "the Alicante Mafia") have been bullying workers. We'll shed light on it and we'll call our the abusers, the principal culprits.
Luis and his friends may think they're above the law and not to be subjected to any scrutiny. Well, the EPO does not control us (it tried), so its illegal activities will be shown to the world and we hope industrial actions will send a strong message to the relevant EU officials, who milk the cow instead of guarding the mission of the EPO.
Meanwhile, many people at the EPO are suffering, silently (they can't even come to the Office). They cannot speak to colleagues about it. They also know they're not alone; but they get isolated by the bullies. β
